Universe: The Nine Vaults Continent
A single landmass whose people do not know a larger sky hangs above them — the clearest in-world statement of the Loom's cruelest law, that a sky can be a lid and the world beneath it farmed.
The Nine Vaults Continent is a fully outlined but as-yet-unwritten stitch of the Loom — a classic xianxia progression told in ten escalating arcs. Its people believe the continent is the whole of the world and the sky above it the whole of heaven. Neither is true. Of every universe in the wiki, this one articulates the Loom's political law most bluntly: the sky is a seal, and the world beneath it is farmed.
The strong set the rules; the weak inherit them.
The world
A single landmass, its knowledge hoarded and its cultivation manuals kept as secrets. The ladder here runs Body Tempering → Qi Condensation → Foundation Establishment → Core Formation → Nascent Soul → Soul Transformation → Dao Seeking → Ascension — a local naming of the same climb catalogued in the nine realms. Four great sects and one shadow authority sit at the top of it, and none of them wants the question of the sky asked aloud.
Power systems
Cultivation follows the continent's own eight-rung ladder. The protagonist's edge is an inherited relic, the Hollow Lantern, which holds the soul-ash of a dead immortal and grants the appraisal of any technique's flaw — at the price of ageing the user's soul with every draught of the immortal's memory.
Key characters
- Lu Chen — a poor village boy falsely labelled a "dead root," in truth the sealed remnant of the erased Lu Clan, and the bearer of the Hollow Lantern.
- The Dead Immortal — the soul-ash within the Lantern; tool, then partner, then teacher, and at the last a gift let go.
- The Four Sects — Azure Cloud Sect, Heavenfall Pavilion, Crimson Pill Hall, and Hundred Rivers Court, which together buried the Lu bloodline.
- The Prefecture — the shadow authority above the sects that enforces the seal on the sky.
Key events
The ten arcs climb from a village awakening through outer-sect trials, a sealed vale where the forbidden truth about the sky first surfaces, regional rankings, and the exposure of the Prefecture — to the revelation, at a ten-year auction, that the sky is a lid; then to a war in which the seal is shown to be placed from above, lower worlds farmed by higher ones; and finally to an ascension into a Spirit World where the ladder resets and yet another lid hangs overhead.
Open hooks
Everything above the continent — the Spirit World and whatever seals its sky; who farms the worlds and why; the dead immortal's name and the faction that erased the Lu Clan; and whether the Nine Vaults Continent is one of the Loom's dim frontier stitches.
Theories & resonances
This universe states outright what other worlds only dread: that a sky can be a seal placed from above, and ignorance its keystone. It is the plainest reading of the lid above every sky, and its Prefecture, the distant Sky Sect headquarters of Blaze, and the higher realms that sever Primordial Gods from their worlds may all be rungs of one hierarchy. The wiki holds the connection as theory, not fact.
